Glad that people are loving this but I'm pretty disappointed that this is doing nothing for me, can't put a finger on why. It's weird bc I loved Punisher and I don't hear this as being terribly different, although you can really hear the money in the production here

My problem with Punisher is that Kyoto, Graceland, and I Know The End are dramatically better than everything else. And yeah, this certainly does have some great highlights. Really loving Kill Me, Bobby, and As Above atm

I guess I’m in the minority on Stranger being my favorite. Only checked out a few tracks and I wasn’t feeling it much but I might not have been quite in the mood for this kind of thing. Gonna try again tomorrow

Lost Boys is a tune and a half, probably one of the best things here imo lol. The chorus really soars, where as I find most of the other vocal moments here a bit aimless. It's been really stuck in my head

Phoebe has a fantastic voice which makes it interesting to me that you only really hear her go off vocally (besides the aforementioned scream in Lost Boys) in As Above So Below, a moment that unfortunately has felt out of place to me on my 2 full listens of this album

Oh well, I'm anticipating this growing on me, hopefully

I am very impressed with the little booklet that came with this CD. A lot of times artists just put an inside sleeve or nothing at all, but there's a dedication to her father, several pages with drawings, etc. Makes this all the more personal.

It's so sad that we get excited when we see stuff like this nowadays. Booklets, liner notes, artwork, dedications, etc. All of that stuff used to be so commonplace with physical media, but it's slowly been stripped away to the point that getting a booklet or art inserts feels like a big deal now. It's so much worse with video games, but in general the physical media landscape is in rough shape today

Yeah I remember when CDs were the primary release format (pre-streaming) and artists definitely put more effort into the appearance of the disc and the booklet. That said, it's nice to see some artists still carrying that torch.
