I think there's cause for genuine concern, which can be expressed from a place of love without any judgment. I think everyone sees the difference in her appearance, and the only thing that really gives me comfort is that with how prevalent the discourse has been surrounding that topic, there's absolutely no way it wouldn't have reached the ears of inner circle folks who could help. That's if there is anything to be done, because I can't really make assumptions about what is wrong (other than it's apparent that something is). If it's simply a matter of being receptive to receiving assistance from people who care, I hope she is able to open herself to that.

Album being what it is, I'd say she has definitely used music as a way of contending with any personal challenges. Whatever ugly things she may or may not be going through, this is a beautifully flourishing triumph over it.

The thing that really rings as concerning is right over there in her newest music video. Despite her obvious thin physique that looks off, one of the comments she receives on one of the forms is that she could stand to lose a few more pounds.

That's certainly something; people online love to throw medical terms and illnesses around with minimal information and declare this is some sort of ED (which could be the case), but at the end of the day, like Sowing said, we don't have the details + the widespread discussion surely has reached the ears of people that are close to her. If there's an issue to be addressed, I hope she gets what she needs.

The album does indeed sound and feel therapeutic and revealing, so hopefully this release cycle motivates her in some way to address that.

Anyway, @Sowing: Yours Truly OVER Sweetener and positions? Damn

Yeah that's disgusting. Clearly a troll comment but people with these kinds of issues don't need to be reading that. I know it's yt or whatever and there's not really much moderation but that should be deleted ASAP.

And yeah, Sweetener was such a let down for me personally after Dangerous Woman. I loved 'God Is A Woman's but precious little grabbed me outside of that. Positions did almost nothing for me, period. I very much prefer her earlier stuff to any post-DW album that isn't this or thank u, next.

I won't go into personal details of course, but my wife has struggled with eating disorders in the past and has come dangerously close before to those issues being life threatening. Thankfully these issues happened years ago, but still.

With that in mind - I seriously think Ariana needs professional help ASAP. I'm seeing a lot of red flags in her that remind me of my wife's lowest, most unhealthiest points.

The sad truth is you can't help those who don't want to be helped. It is no different from drug addiction.

Yeah, really hoping she gets healthy and accepts whatever help is required.
