Why is the single so good?

This got full marks in a danish music magazine... I'll probably check it out eventually, but I don't feel any urgency.

Okay, I've heard the whole thing and I officially think it kind of sucks. Not horrible, just horribly predictable and recycled, I must admit, I wanted it to suck harder, but It gets an unenthusiastic 2.5 from me.
The only exception is "My Love", which owns really hard.
BTW, How are you going to have a song about Cocaine on your album with absolutely NO MENTION OF TOUPEES?This Message Edited On 10.23.06

I think I can agree with your comments on Sexyback, "cramped and cluttered." I can enjoy it to an extent.
The two highlights I've found so far are My Love with that pulsating melody. Although that laughing sound just annoys the heck out of me. The other highlight is Lovestoned, which I loathed at first until I heard the last 3 minutes of it with the beat boxing as that soft string melody floats in, then cuts to that simple but delicious guitar.

I thought I wouldn't like this album, I thought the fusion of styles didn't work at first, but it's grown on me, it's got some strange addictive quality to it. I guess that's why it's pop music.

I like Justified better but My Love is better than any song this boy has ever made. I don't like Chop Me Up and that Will.I.am produced song.
The only bad thing about Sexyback was the video....and the title. I keep thinking that he's talking about an actual back.

Got this yesterday as a present.
Really got some good stuff on it. Plus My Love is the single of the year.

Yeah LoveStoned is really good. I'm currently listening to this for the first time. It's surprisingly good.

I'll admit that I at first I was afraid, I was petrified to like Sexyback and My Love. But I was at a club last weekend...I had had my fill of whiskey and then some, and my girlfiend managed to drag me out on the dance loor. Truth be told, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and distictly remember (if not much else) enjoying those songs.
True Story.
I also only know those two songs. Oh yeah, nice review too. This Message Edited On 02.07.07

Its pointless to resist.

I can't really comment on the album, but your review was excellent.

I tried admitting to my friends at school that I was blasting My Love in the car, but they
a) didn't know how the song went and
b) thought JT was a quoteunquote 'fag' so they wouldn't even consider getting the CD which I then
c) proceeded to call one of the best of 2006.

Man, if I had a dollar for everytime someone got in my car when I had, say...Nickel Creek or Vanessa Carlton playing, and they're response was "dude, what the hell is this jive?" Some people just hold to closely to alpha male standards. I personally think that the Alpha Male breaks it down like a sonuvabitch to Sexyback.

I really dig this album, and I used to hate JT.

I liked Sexyback.
The instrumental alone makes it worth listening to.

Still haven't listened to this whole album though, I tend to stop about halfway through.
