This is one of those releases that is technically very skilled and the production sounds great and appropriately burpy/farty/pongy, but I’d appreciate it more if the band paid any mind to actual songwriting rather than every track feeling like a blender of a dozen different riffs and drum patterns thrown together. This breed of disso-tech-brutal dm probs just isn’t for me

occasionally an album pops up that warrants a brand new complaint that I've never complained before, and unfortunately this is one. there are distant backgrounds screams throughout almost the entire goddamn thing and once I noticed it, it started driving me mad. It's almost like someone whispering in my ear for the whole album runtime. If they did it on one or two songs fine, but it's nonstop and so annoying.

Like, if there are other albums that sound like this, send them to me. I caught shades of other bands, but I could say that about almost any other release ever. There are almost 60,000 death metal releases cataloged on RYM, take that for what it's worth.

Not to offend, I can read just fine, I cannot however assume you're not an idiot on the Internet lol. Hence the confusion. Like I couldn't understand if you were trying to say this was derivative and yet you enjoy it or what. Comment remains weird to me but that's aight. This does rule. I actually like this more than say Artificial Brain. I really like the softer aspects here, leaning into the jazz elements at times, etc
