The more I listen to this the more I think it may be my favorite Emperor album. I think it is now, actually. Instead of having only a few main highlights like Anthems or ITNE, most of the songs here are highlight-worthy. There may not be a song here as good as "Into the Infinity of Thoughts" or "With Stength I Burn," yet about half the album just under the level of greatness of the highlights of their other albums, if that makes sense.

Triple post w00t (though separated by about a month)

This album is criminally underrated. And yes, I know it has an average of 4.

Probably my least favourite Emperor, it could be a grower though.

I don't mind this one, some of the bluesy guitar leads are pretty cool.

The rhythm section turns into mush at times though.

Two problems:

1. Why is this album listed under EPs and not after IX E as a regular album?

2. How come you rate the cd superb, 4.5, but your overall rating is 4/5, excellent?

It's not only Emperor's best, it's one of metal's best. The songs are brilliantly written and the

guitar and drum work is amazing. And I'm definitely not a black metal fan.

Really, it's not Emperor's best, or even second best. You're high off your ass if you think this is better than In the Nightside Eclipse or Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk.
