Is it me, or does anyone else find this record highly overrated? The music just doesn't stand the test of time to me.

I can definitely see this feeling dated. I have come to sort of like the Dad vibes of Christgaucore (Wussy!!!) but X definitely strikes a weird balance

I agree with you @Cygnatti. It's very generic punk rock music that doesn't shine as much as their contemporaries at the time (X-Ray Spex, The Damned, The Clash, Ramones, Dead Boys, Germs, Wire, etc).

Generic? They arguably lead the whole punk rockabilly movement.
