> Wtf has he taken off his music from spotify or am I tripping

I use Deezer, but from a quick google search it looks like he took his Spotify music down because they were running ICE recruitment ads. Based choice tbh.

Pretty based by him actually. As long as it's on bandcamp I'm fine.

Last track is probably the weakest here unfortunately

This sound off was pretty funny though

> And then there’s the closer: awful sentimentalism with fake bird sounds. But even if these samples were real, they come from animals that are most probably dead by now.

Aside from the fact that the ones on the track are almost certainly hand-made bird calls, that’s an interesting critique of sampling animals for music lmao

Now that I'm relistening to it, the production is now bothering me, lol. At least it's not mud like And Again Into the Light, but it is kind of distracting. Like why are these strings near the end of Woodland Caribou being drowned out by the guitars? You added them to break up a looping section, how come I can barely hear them? Only thing perfectly placed are the vocals being distant, that fits the melancholy of the album.

Ha, it ended up winning me back over. Can't remember the last time I've had a reverse bell curve kind of experience with an album.

If anything, it isnt the violins being drowned out for me, it's the guitars lol

I love it and the production somehow works well for me. Like drowning in a thicc soup of emotions.

How the fuck can one song have 6 climaxes jfc (The Great Silence, Extinct)

This is maybe the most jovial and upbeat a Panopticon album as I've ever heard. Good god do portions of this bring a phat grin to my face

Was jamming a few albums on my way home from a show last night and my headcanon is now that it’s Laurentian quadrilogy that started with Autumn Eternal and that each album corresponds to a season.

Autumn eternal- duh

And again- spring

Rime- winter

Hjertet- summer
