so been spending a lot of time with this album! absolutely love it, one of my favorites of the year. just as someone newish to them, this is the sound that really suits their strengths. the massive artificial production sounds great with all the pulsating electronics and the junz hit hard. tom is amazing ofc. there is just so much going on and it all comes together nicely. i notice something new each listen. cyber/electro stuff really pushed to the limit. i love that the flashy electronics really take center stage here.
this feels like a realization of their sound where oni 1 now sounds like a demo version of this to me. way more focused and refined. also i think the softer clean elements and singing are way better done and more naturally integrated as well. some nice spacey atmospheric vibes. love the features as well, alex and ben are perfect quick hitters and the hollywood undead guy is a perfect fit. alex is still such a legend.
my favs are blue teeth (soty maybe), take me to heaven, congratulations, majora and acid girl. sounds great in the car. always searching for something genuinely different in core and this really fits the bill. such a unique fun sound. not a movement or new genre but really innovative.

Yeah this one will be spinning for a while. I really didn't talk enough about Tom in this review, this album has his best vocals and vocal range I've ever heard from him, I daresay he carries some of the songs, but that's just a testament to how well him and Josh work together in songwriting

I know there is some extremely shitty deathcore out there, but when this genre hits, it really fucking hits. The greats of the genre are some of the best albums ever. I LOVE JUNZ!!!!

Futures I've been there with that duo and idk they both feel like they're trying to be Lorna Shore and Tom is just there to bring that Lorna Shore embellishment to their sound. Maybe I should give them a couple more spins, as I still haven't rated those, but from the first listen they're not as diverse as this project is/has been
