Just saw Mortal Downer live at Tokyo tonight, fucking spectacular show.

Kyo having mental breakdowns and fidgeting with his mic song after song, and every song out of this album sounded so much better.

If they brought that energy to the studio, this would’ve easily been strong 4.0. I’m convinced 80% of the problems the album has is due to its production.

The production on this is so bad it somehow sounds way too compressed and not nearly compressed enough at the same time but I like several of the songs a lot. Their run from Uroboros through TIW is maybe my favorite 4 album run of any band
