I think most of the songs were written by Hunter and Austin Coupe, who is the best kept secret in the heavy music scene as far as songwriting and recording goes. He’s also currently working with The Contortionist. I think another artist, Iris.exe, collaborated on a few songs as well.

excellent review teal! really pushed me to check this out. the story behind the album really adds to it.



was a bit lukewarm first listen but second go around i liked it a bit more! suppose that's because this sound is so played out to me, but this is done well. i usually like this sound a bit more gritty and the overly poppy vocals feel out of place at times. the hooks are all very similar but are slowly growing on me. really well implemented on coldmetalkiss. they do both heavy and soft well. classic heavy ass bounce riffs, wish it was a little more dirty in production though.



gunplay is def my favorite here. would've been the biggest hit of 2002. what a hook. anywhere but here and stfa are really fun too. i'll probably keep coming back to this for a bit!
