I don't hate it either, but the impression it gives is unmistakable

Lmao @wildcard honestly fair but yeah they're more in the vein of Propaganda than anything I'd say. Ruiner and Career Suicide and the st EP are all classic. This album is good fun, starts to bleed together a little for me but happy to hear them still going hard and not phoning it in

I’ll definitely be giving this a shot, I might honestly just start here and maybe go with whatever has the best avg next

Ugh, Propagandhi. Didn't notice the autocorrect. Anyway it's probably Ruiner. if it's not Ruiner I'll give you 1000$
jk also this is not an edit

I figured that’s what you meant lol

Wildcard, you’re gonna LOVE Career Suicide.

all of their full lengths save lose your delusion and benefits of thinking out loud are outstanding
mute print -> three track run of famous friends to william blake is one of the strongest in their discog, plus one of their greatest songs (the rip)
ruiner -> probably the poppiest of their higher end records, a killer opener, a ton of catchy sing-alongs
career suicide -> still the best and most well-rounded of their albums i think, the horse and we built this city are truly world class songs
partycrasher -> kind of a blend of everything that came before it, born a wise man is a standout

Benefits of Thinking Out Loud is definitely their weakest record (LYD has grown on me a lot over time) but shouldn't be overlooked at all. It'll Happen to You, Catharsis for Dummies, You Kiss Their Ass and They Shit on You? all killers.
also fwiw, the cover of this one tickles the same cringekino receptors of my brain as, say, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Charge It 2 Da Game.

1996-2009 Strung Out has gotta be one of the most generational runs in punk history.

After Lose Your Delusion I was worried they'll go the Propagandhi way and became calm and wise men, but no, just full-on full speedy bangers on this mofo m///

i do agree with the review this is pretty one note, but if youre after that one thing, its a blast
the band clearly dont take themselves too serious - look at the buttrock album art. this is dumb fun skate punk, but executed with enough speed, energy, technical shredding and catchy hooks to elevate it to something awesome

The late 00's myspace metalcore album art HAS to be intentional. I don't think anyone in the band saw it and went "Hell yeah this unironically goes hard". It's goofy but charming all the same.

also is their logo on it a metallica rip-off??

They knew what they were doing, no doubt. I think it's more an homage to thrash metal logos but whatever.
