I’m digging it. I really wish more of the melody came from the guitar work though.

Yeah they 100% need a dedicated guitar play again

also @iChuckles I think it's worth mentioning your notes about how their riffs are Meshuggah influenced is 100% relevant, totally zoned that in my review

Their guitar player situation is very strange since Diego left. No official guitar player in the band, but two guys they used on both the albums (both of them also produce the albums) but use one completely different guy live. They’ve done this ever since Diego left.

Diego died, he didn't leave. Dan Braunstein has been recording and doing some touring with them since.

Adrenaline slaps. Nice melodic album, could be a grower.
Nice thick production means it'll sound bomb in the car
|

Fun album but nothing stellar. Agree that they would benefit from a dedicated guitar player that can really bring the riffs and some tasty leads

California is a banger

"Diego died, he didn't leave."
This is incorrect. Diego left the band when they kicked Gus out, and died shortly after.

My bad could've sworn Gus got kicked and Diego then passed while still in the band. Agree "California" slaps.

I come back to Bottom Dollar so much, that song is so relevant today

More than half this album is full of songs I keep coming back to a lot. I think at least one person has cited each slower/more melodic song on this record as a favorite, that says something
