if yachty made this people would be shitting their pants. but the guy who made XXX and AE making it definitely feels lazy. brother is 44 and still making heinously cringe tracks like "green light". i respect him finally sticking with sobriety but that intro track sucks and it feels like he's made that same song now multiple times.

and yet there are some seriously great tracks here just too many throwaways

Agreed 100% bro. There are moments of greatness here, but its way too much cringe for my liking.

gotta admit i loved/still love the two singles, but yea idk who thought the narration was a good idea. what a fucking miss lol. brother heard tupac on TPAB and said it's 2025 now lemme get a gender ambiguous cringe lord to do some spoken word

The guest vocals here are the worst thing about the entire album. It's just such a "try hard" move lol. And they're horrible 100% of the time.

>‘Green Light’ sounds like an Owl City track with sterile synth work and horrible emo vocals, completely devoid of anything that made Danny's music enjoyable in the first place.

man this is an epic statement. hawks mentioning owl city is truly incredible and you 100% hit the nail on the head.

not exactly my scene per se but its extremely cool of an artist of danny's notoriety to make an album essentially showcasing an entire new wave of young artists from a scene most of his fanbase prob isn't familiar with / does not like

I love lots and lots of drill, but that mumble rap shit sucks 90% of the time.

Reich got the right take on this one. If this was just Danny rapping over beep boops and breakbeats it’d be like a 4.2 but all the cringey hyperpop moments just kill it completely for me. But whenever Danny is doing his thing I’m enjoying it

Reich nailed it. A Lil Yachty hyperpop album also sounds like my biggest nightmare coming true
