3D Country is great but it feels less urgent/essential to me.

Interesting, 3D Country is way more urgent/energetic imo

For me 3D is catchier (and I guess more memorable in a sense?) but I never got the feeling that it was essential or a turning point like I do from this. Everything here is just much tighter and heavier, and feels like it has a bigger purpose if any of that makes sense lol.

I see what you’re saying in a lot of ways which is why I keep coming back to it. I love everything here except for the vocals but I am moving to liking them. I know once I decide I like them this will be a 5. The instrumentals are insanely good. Like the most thrilling I’ve listened to in years.

I think Au Pays Du Cocaine this time made everything click. Imma 5 it

Just like their last one, idk if I’ll be coming back to this daily but it sure is pleasant when i come across it.

The Thom Yorke in his vocals might convince me to though.

Really looking forward to jamming this. Geese is one the few current artists that I don't find mind-numbing boring.

Words cannot express how awesome this is. Except for this one: AWESOME!

Cobras is so catchy and weirdly uplifting for some reason

Projector was alright, but I wasn’t crazy about 3D. This looks interesting, let’s see how it works out.

Cobra is pretty sublime

I'm getting a ton of Gregg Alexander (New Radicals) from these vocals. Also reminding me a lot of MJ Lenderman.

I saw these guys open for King Gizz and didn't think they were my cup of tea and I guess I still don't really think they're my cup of tea, although I see how it's appealing to others.

couldnt get into 3d country but this is fucking great. he is totally unhinged and the whole thing has a nervous, chaotic energy. its like the poetic ramblings of a homeless guy.

I haven’t seen anyone else mention but I’m also hearing a TON of LCD Soundsystem from a bunch of these songs, especially 100 Horses.

Cobra is fantastic
The vocals reminds me of a mix of Julian Casablancas, Mick Jagger and the dude from New Radicals. Maybe some hint of Thom Yorke is the falsetto
And whaat Kenny Beats produced this?

Finally got around to this, this is some pretty unique stuff. I'm not personally close to putting it near 5 territory, but I will say the second half of the album seems far more engaging than the first.

there’s so many comments online trying to describe Cameron’s vocals and it seems to always boil down to “he’s a mix of X, Y and Z” and while I don’t think people’s comparisons are completely unfounded I think it’s a lot easier and more accurate to just say the dude is unique

Yeah… and I wasn’t a fan at first but I’ve grown into it. So thankful for Cobra and Au Pays Du Cocaine for helping me ease into his voice. I legit like his voice in 3D Country. But he sounds so much different here. I may have to give Heavy Metal another listen at some point. His vocals there kinda ruined my enjoyment of it when I first listened to it months ago
