Awesome write-up. I’m a huge fan of Rare but was pretty underwhelmed by Somewhere Nowhere, so hoping this is good

Somewhere Nowhere's biggest issue is bloat - if you trim some of the more unnecessary cuts it becomes a far more streamlined experience.

Thanks Pump!

Yeah Somewhere can easily benefit from having a few tracks and moments being cut, even though I'd still argue it's their best album.

Somewhere Nowhere's biggest issue is bloat. [2] Great way to put it -- agree entirely.

What a pleasant surprise to find out this is good. Blitz is an absolute jam.

Apparently I 2'd Rare years ago. I don't remember a single thing about it. Either I'm less of a douchebag now or this is just better, because my toe is a tappin'!

“Whys he a douche”

It’s not worth me repeating experiences I’ve had because it’s not that serious but every interaction I’ve ever had with him dating back to when they were a christian metalcore band with Holy Spirit Swag merch he’s come across to me as someone who thinks just a little too highly of themselves, but great vocalist

"Their metalcore era was terrible"

Honestly, I don't care for it much either. RARE was the true starting point for this band, creatively.

Definitely agree that Rare was the true starting point but they did have some jams before that. Free especially had some cool moments

Revolt is heavily slept on, I think that was their hardcore peak. 5/5 bangers on that EP imo

I miss the sound they had on Rare. I guess the fact that I only like one album these dudes have made says enough. This was inoffensive and awfully boring.
