It's weird to think that this album is probably the most influential album to me as a musician, considering I don't even listen to this album anymore. And yes their new stuff is god awful.

I agree with the review and all comments, but chesters vocals our still unique only to him. Anyone else singing his songs would not give them justice. Much like freddie mercury is to Queen. This is also the band that got me into to heavier rock.

Well, I like this- And I'm sorry, there is no way Linkin Park is simply a more mainstream Limp Bizkit. For one, Shinoda can actually rap (sometimes very well). Another thing is that Bizkit make little to no use of their DJ, Linkin Park do. Another is that Chester's singing voice is at least bearable, unlike Durst's super whiny boy voice (although some of their best songs come when he sings). Need I go on?
Forgotten is... Ok. Really unoriginal, but yeah, if Limp Bizkit were any good, they would probably sound something like that. Meteora was a flop, to be fair, but still listenable, and pretty good in parts. I do really like Linkin Park generally, probably because they're designed to appeal to minds of teenagers like me. But very good review, this is pretty much what I expected someone to say about it, and you did it well.

Oh yeah, Linkin Park got me into heavier rock too, along with Foo Fighters and Nirvana.

Hybrid Theory will always be their best, but if their next release is in any way better than MTM then I will worship it for at least a week.

I never really thought about it, but Linkin Park started to get me into the heavier stuff too.
This is a good album I used to perfer Meteora but now that I think about it... Hibrid Theory ftw!
Someone said In The End is the best new metal song? meh, I'll go Wait And Bleed by Slipknot; they kick LP's ass anyday
And it's been said, but I'm gonna say it again: Minutes to Midnight was a 43 minute sell-out fest for me. Where's the nu metal in it? it's not even metal, most of the tracks are too self indulgent and have pretty much benched all of the band (appart from Chester) for a symphony of sorts.
My friend (who was a major Linkin Park fan) accepted the fact that they were no longer around and I think the rest of the world had too.
Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park at their best.

Hell yeah, man. Best production, best overall flow, best songs (Bleed it Out, Shadow of the Day, Hands Held High, Little Things). A real step forward for them as a band.
