Surprised that there's not more of a consensus around Cave World's ridiculously high quality. Troglodyte, Creepy Crawlers, The Cognitive Trade-off Hypothesis, and Return to Monke are all 10/10 song for me, and the rest of the album ranges from good to great.
After a listen, this one's not quite meeting the bar for me. I prefer them in high energy or experimental mode... The drawling garage pop-punk vibe songs aren't my favorites, and the first half of this is basically just that. But this band is so good that I'll sit with this a bit longer.
