have to agree i found this one pretty boring, no where near as intense as the first album. data is ok but can see the samples getting annoying over time. tracks 1,3,4 all felt like background music. hopefully they bounce back on the next one

I get why people might be bored by this but I fucking love it. Amazing stuff. Up there with the best I've heard this year.

I'm not sure which I like better. The first one perfectly blends symphonic elements with post rock, but this one has some really cool moments of exploration and experimentation. Both are incredible albums though.

I love the glitchy, noisy parts of this album. So many epic moments here.

This album is loud as hell. I had to turn down my headphones a few times on the closing track because of how blown out it is. I love it, but it's intense.

After 1st listen I don't know if I'd rank it higher than 'the machine is burning...' but this is pretty incredible in its own right. Thought it didn't start as strong, but after "Data" it became incredible moment after incredible moment.

Gonna listen to it some more in the next few days.

Do they usually tour? This should be an awesome concert to go to.

Edit: yeah, after listening to it a lot lately I think this is really better than "The Machine Is Burning...". Incredible, emotional and moving stuff here.

Hawks, I know you like both Alcest and Dimmu Borgir, as I do.

Just to let you know, Neige said in a french interview that Dimmu was the "McDonald of black metal". I've had a bit of a beef with the guy ever since lol
