I'm betting the reason she left was because she wasn't allowed to sing and got fed up. Pretty fair enough if that's the case. I dig the new solo song. Not amazing, but interesting enough.
I really doubt it. They never had clean vocals before her so there's no way she wasn't aware of what she was getting into. Maybe she just got tired of Michael writing the same album every time.
