I think if you like the style he goes for here in general you'll like this album. it is very well made but it's just not what a lot of Bon Iver fans want out of Bon Iver I guess

"This was unfortunately in one ear and out the other. It is pleasant enough, but just not nearly as captivating as the debut was."

I was overly harsh here and pretty sure I only listened to the originally released 8 tracks. Listened in full again this morning and I think this has some room to grow a bit.

Band could have been one of the greats if they hadn't gone electronic. It's a shame

Weird artistic choice to use to put a pinegrove album cover on this release though.

22, A Million would have been a tremendous one-off experiment IMO, but then he should have skipped i,i completely and just made a full album like Sable

But he's where he is for a reason so wtf do I know lol

the extent to which 22AM is his best is borderline comical

Some beautiful stuff on this. Folktronica soul?

I think this a damn near perfect mix of his folk and electro sound. Melodies are insanely catchy

crazy how sonically similar this is to i,i, given it's been 6 years and most of his LPs had huge sonic leaps between them. this is just not the sound i imagined him settling into, but ig it's comfy enough

From is the one im returning to the most for some reason. Some James Taylor/Bruce Hornsby vibes that awakens some nostalgia within me because my mom and stepdad listens to similar stuff lol
