So glad GNX came out. We are firmly in Kendrick's peak era. That lyrical stuff he used to do was super boring. Bros vibes nowadays are on fleek, amazing.

this is one of those albums where i won't try to put a rating on it for a while. not as good as s/t or die lit, but feels like it could reach WLR level with time. very maximalist, hard to remember individual tracks but pretty amazing as a full listening experience. the aesthetic is a mistake and feels really lacking on this one. he dropped the album art for this forever ago and i can't believe he actually used it. if the project had a cooler name/cover i think people would be more receptive to it.
miss his old vocals, unquestionably the weakest part here, but they leaned hard enough into the features and beats that it still works for me. loved the "carti my evil twin" line. album is getting a lot of hate and i feel like the aesthetic aspects are part of that, like even as a weezy reference the presentation just feels lacking.

Another terrible Tundra hip hop take, it tracks. Yeah sure, GNX is 5 times the album as TPaB. And Jack Harlowe, Post Malone, Lil Xan, and Ian are the greatest rappers of all time.

Yeah this thing is fucking ass, I'm not even against Carti, there's just not much I'd care to go back to. Even Kendrick and Travis is ass on this. Future is a fucking bum and needs to step it up in general. 2024, Rockstar Made, Stop Breathing is his best songs IMO.
Best thing about this is the SWAMP IZZO that pops up every now and then.
