The production on Bad Vibrations is just so...tame? Not sure exactly what went down with their choice of producer but it straight up does not fit the metalcore centric approach on that record.

Yeah, Bad Vibes production is puzzling and feels more flat compared to the albums that came before it.
You're Welcome (and I'm assuming this as I have yet to listen in full) sounded squeaky clean in the way that Liquid Metal/Wal-Mart country do and that's not a good thing

Bad Vibrations had some slight mis executions and was mostly underproduced.

i just jammed bad vibrations and idk if its actually grown on me or i'm just comparing it to their 2020s material but that's the most i've ever liked it as a full listen

Bad Vibes is a totally fine album that I've never disliked, it's just a clear step down from what came before.
That being said, it looks like gold compared to You're Welcome

Bad Vibes had some great songs, it's just produced like shit

I don't know if there is any song on there that I would qualify as great, but there's also not really anything that I think is terrible

nobody ever mentions how common courtesy sounds like a crunchy crusty 128kbps vinyl rip compared to homesick & WSMFY
curious

eh it doesn't sound 128 kbps but it's also a bit rougher mixed yeah

I like the album artwork but tbh I didn't connect with anything here other than Bad Blood and Flowers

Some passable songs here but most of the experience is tainted by the fact that Feedback is track two and paired with that album art... Still, if they keep going, there could be a return to form in the cards.
|

Damn if tundra gives this 2.5 it must be bad… only because I really trust his opinion on metalcore

Jesus Christ, this thing is awful.
One of the most pandering, tired albums I have heard in a minute.
Whole thing feels like I'm watching Jeremy trying to shove a shit back up his ass while he's staring me right in the eye.

It’s fucking a day to remember

yeah....
I was hoping against hope that this would be a return to form, but the singles -especially Feedback- should've let me know that the band is dead.
"Flowers" could have been a fun little song but they absolutely tank it with a horrid mid-section with a pointless breakdown. So much of this thing is just oscillating between boring Octane-core breakdowns and Walmart country.Blah

lmao was just about to comment "flowers feels like common courtesy!" but then the horrendous bridge hit omg

this album is almost more frustrating than you're welcome because unlike that album the majority of these songs are so close to actually being good... but they just can't help but sabotage themselves somehow
to the death / flowers / lebron particularly could've been a classic run of tracks
