I know Spiritbox is very well received on this site, and I think they have a lot of talent, but man their stuff bores the hell out of me sometimes.

And tundra not liking this isn’t going against the circlejerk… it has a 3.6. Hardly universal acclaim. There’s plenty of people that don’t fuck with it. You do however go against the circlejerk with everything else that you do like while hating like shit like Converge and Dillinger.
At least what I noticed is that you go out of your way to try and dunk on this record when it seems like something that is right up your alley. But hey, like I said, I love it but don’t like most of the stuff this gets compared to, so that’s why I don’t really point that part of it out much.

3.0 for me is "mildly pleasant", usually 3.5 is on the edge of my relisten threshold if it isn't a nostalgia thing or so-bad-its-good. 2.5 and below is when it starts getting either painful, especially boring, or there's moral opposition

2.5 and 3 both work as my ratings for when I think something is mid (as the kids say).
3 is when it's mid but on the enjoyable side, 2.5 is when it's mid but I probably had more negatives than positives.

@Venin - I've found myself doing the same thing these days. I give out WAY more 3's than I do 2.5's, and in general I feel like I find myself finding more reasons to enjoy things. I give out more positive scores than negative by far.
