Nah, WID’s vocal melody is repetitive to the point of inanity. In Pieces and Little Things (the album’s sole successful attempt at a protest song) are the true winners here.

it's a good vocal performance at least with some passion. can't say that for most here. little things is ok i guess.

Vocal performance in the bridge of Little Things is a career peak. Clean your ears out

If anything, this thread has proven this album is very polarizing and completely subjective.
I dig No More Sorrow. It ain't the best but it's an above average song. In Pieces is a sneaky one and could have easily fit in on Meteora.
Fuck. That album is so good.

Sorrow is ok, it feels really forced but it's less offensive than the other tracks. In Pieces has an extremely catchy hook but it's not something I'd ever want to come back to. This album should have been so much better...

It's just so lame. From the riff, to the "bar talk" noise. I get what they are going for but it fails imo.
No More Sorrow def can sound forced but it's still decent. Honestly. If they would have released Hunting Party after Meteora it would have made more sense. Get a little further away from the "numetal" tag while still keeping old fans and gaining new ones. It should have been HT, Meteora, HP, Living Things, MtM then Ten Thousand Suns. That's a pretty solid career there.

i can see what you mean, it does seem like it may be a bit out of order, tbh Hunting Party in its current order in the discography comes off like a forced return to their heavier riffing at points. it may just be the way it's produced.

I think it's horribly underrated. I think objectively it's an above average album. While not the most mind blowing riffs... Rob's drumming is pretty solid and Chester and Mike are great on it.

i felt its return to the "heavy" came off more fanservice-y than driven by passion, which, whatever, that's not the biggest crime, but some songs just never clicked for me. I felt like I was never as high on Rebellion in particular, War or Wastelands didn't do much for me either compared to the big guns on the album (Guilty All the Same, Final Masquerade, Until It's Gone, A Line in the Sand), and i was confused by Morello's feature being one of the softest cuts but I ended up really appreciating it.

"what i've done is the banger here"
Might just be 00s nostalgia but I love that song. One of my favorite rock songs to drum to. That, Given Up, and Leave Out All the Rest are really all I come back to from this.

Rob kills Hunting Party, but I think he’s underrated throughout their discog. He was never the most flashy or showy drummer, but most of their songs have a unique beat with kick and snare accents that immediately identify the track you’re on, even if you were to mute the guitar tracks and vocals. He gets big points for creativity from me when it would’ve been easier to just default to a standard beat.
