Maybe that's the issue, I really hate Moreno's stuff

What’s good FJM to jam next after this?

Gotta be Honeybear. TBH I kind of feel this project could have stopped after Pure Comedy, Fear Fun to that are a great trilogy.

100% Boney, he had it all covered in those first three - nothing that followed has broken any worthwhile ground really, some of the songs have been fine in established FJM styles though

Definitely this, Honeybear, and for completion also Pure Comedy are essential for FJM sesh. I'd say skip Chloe and go into Fear Fun or God's Favourite Customer if the three essentials spoke to you a lot and you're dying to hear more loose non-conceptual stuff.

Yup, Screamland is possibly the song off the album - that huge wall of sound chorus just brings a tear to my eyes. A near flawlessly written record with Tillman’s best lyrical work since Pure Comedy.

Never really been much of a fan, and didn't really give it a proper listen, so perhaps now is the time.

Nice review. Oddly enough, "Screamland" was one of the standout tracks on my initial listen.
|
| |
oh it definitely stood out
just for all the wrong reasons to me
|
| |
Screamland is a massive track on this and has grown into a top 3 track on this record. The drum beat resembles a heartbeat so well and I think the over dramatic heights work amazing
