also the review mentioning Farfalla's bass lines reminded me how absolutely amazing Morningrise is because of those. I was never a particular Mendez fan as he's a bit too by the numbers, but man, Farfalla's stuff was an adventure. What an awesome what if that is, what if they kept the dude

Seeing as this actually technically does apply to me (on RYM) I can explain - I rate singles on the same RYM account, and that likely accounts for about 40% of it, but often I just put down a rating after listen #1 to track what I've heard and what I generally feel after that listen. Then I alter later if it goes up or down.
