This is a great review! This line resonated with me the most, "a band of this stature no doubt deserves to decide for themselves if such a tragedy should be the end of their story."

I've never connected with Linkin Park, or Chester, like others. I recognize their widespread appeal and realize their impact within the music industry has been substantial, but I haven't listened to an entire album of theirs since 2003's Meteora. I didn't even know they decided to reform and release a new album. I merely noticed the album at my local my local record store and decided to give it a spin, which in the grand scheme of things is significant. I think "From Zero" is a perfectly fine return for the band and I hope its release will allow the remaining band members to decide how their story should continue.

HT had 3-4 good songs, Meteora had 1 or 2, the rest of their discography had one combined

Papercut is their best

I hate to say it, but even with my love for pretty much everything LP has done, this definitely misses a lot of the impact their other albums have. It’s not bad, but it’s nowhere near stellar. It feels like a band learning how to be a band again, there’s some serious growing pains here

I really wanted to love this album, but the singles, Overflow, and IGYEIH are the best, and everything else is just iffy to me

Best album since Meteora, but that wasn’t hard as everything after that was pretty terrible anyway. Actually really like this new singer, very raspy.

Yep, best album since Meteora.

My expectations were very low about this album / LP comeback, but it ended being an enjoyable journey. A lot of catchy songs, straight to the point, and overall the album is flowing very well.
