keep that outta the CoB review.

It's completly un related.

They are Extreme Power Metal.

You could say, Melo Death mixed with Power Metal.

"I heard that the cover of The Trooper isn't actually by them"

naa....that cover sounds a lot like COB, if there is a cover that isnt by them it could be fear of the dark, the vocalist sounds like a death metal vocalist and it doesnt sound like COB, altough the cover is good it doesnt sound like COB

'Touch Like An Angel Of Death' and 'Lake Bodom' are two of the best CoB songs ever.

I've never really been a fan of Extreme Power Metal, but I love COB, I think it's the catchiness, and of course, Alexi's guitar work. Plus the fact that the keyboardist is the equal to Alexi on keyboards helps alot. My personal fav would have to be "In The Shadows"

Hatebreeder, it's almost as good as FTR, and it sounds similar, before they aborted power metal.

^^^

I totally agree with that. You need literally every Bodom album to get the full experience. It's really amazing how the band can change their sound over and over, yet still remaining true to their original sound in the end.

I also like this album a whole lot because it's extremely keyboard driven, probably the most out of all of their albums.

I can't believe I didn't get this till today...oh man, this is great. 'Deadnight Warrior' is becoming one of my favorite Bodom songs...

Good review to Shadows. Someone's gotta fix that damn coding error too though...

This sounds good. I need to buy some more metal albums. The only ones I actually own are by either Metallica, Megadeth, or Iron Maiden. This Message Edited On 08.15.06

It took me long enough to get into them, but once I did there was no looking back. They opened the gates to just about every metal genre out there. Bodom can get you into power, black, and death metal all at the same time which is what's so amazing about them.

While this album isn't their best, it's still great and worth listening to.

You should start with Follow The Reaper.

That's probably the best idea. That's the album I started off on as well and it turned out great. After Follow the Reaper check out Hatebreeder...and then the rest is up to you.
