"shoutout to drunk Australians"... Notification alert!

Gee, caught a few songs from this band live back in 2014 and they showed lots of potential back then. Glad to hear they are still kicking around, have advanced their sound and seemingly made the album they wanted to here.

Hola davey. And yeah sowing check their first two albums. Their song Choke is very very yellowcard tbh.

Cheers for the quality review, Jesper! And thx for twisting my arm on this band, Sloth. It’s been refreshing taking a break from new music but this one was worth it

This is like really close to being something special but I can't quite get there yet

Weird to say about an already long album, but I wish some of the songs were fleshed out more

glad to see this band get some love here - think this one is a bit bloated for me but have only listened a couple of times so far. First two albs are crackers, Baby's Breath is GOATed.

this is cool. sometimes it sounds like the hypothetical i imagined sometimes of "what if oso oso was an interesting band"

def need to jam it more to settle into the amount of tracks though lol

will say

there are a lot

*lot*

of 3-1-4-3-1 melodies here (mapping from a scale degree perspective)

there are songs that are only that even lol

its a pattern i like but im not sure where im landing on the frequency of that choice yet

fwiw i love about half of basking in the glow so it mostly comes from a place of feeling like and wishing they could do better than they have been
