Ok, I have homework to do then.

can't spell cugno without GO
am now annoyed that it isn't an anagram for go cum this is your greatest failure to date
I HAVE DONE ALMOST NOTHING RIGHT MY ENTIRE ADULT LIFE
|
| |
But it is an anagram for Crab's son Ugo, my life does seem to have some value after all.

No, don’t be daft. It’s an essential staple of an otherwise mediocre example of musical mediocrity that the year ended up being tho
Honestly this is, at best, mid Xiu Xiu and I still contemplated a top ten finish

This year was one of the best years for music in the last decade, only rivaled by maybe 2019 and 2016. Wtf are you on about Demon?

Sorry Demon can't hear you over FANTASYFANTASYFANTASYFANTASYFANTASY

2019 was a dogshit year lol

bit top heavy, probably only revisit like 4/5 albums now the year is done. Lots of good shit, not many ‘keepers’
I just can’t really be arsed with 2024 now. Gonna concentrate on other things (and definitely not 2025!)

hey now, give 2025 a chance — it hasn't dropped any stinkers yet and there's a new Kinoteki I haven't heard. marginal week 1 victory?

Kinoteki! … yeah there’s a few on my list already but I won’t be ‘exploring’ much, lol

Album Rating: 3.5
I kinda feel the opposite tbh - want to make more of an effort to explore this year, but not in terms of eating up sputcore leftovers. Time to be hitting bandcamp more often and keeping closer tabs on genre charts, there were loads of cool records that almost got past me until the last two months or so of 2024 and I'm tired of depending on that last min push every year
|
| |
ooo new xiu xiu, how exciting. kinda impressed with how prolific jamie is
|
| |
I still haven't checked this out but I will eventually.
It just wouldn't feel right to listen to this before being familiar with their most celebrated releases.

oh no, I just mean 2025 won’t exist to me at all outside of the artists I’m already interested in
It would take a monumental (universal) hype train to derail me… or that’s the theory anyway, lol
I’m still listening to new artists of ‘significance’ from yesteryear

2019 was incredible, we’ve been over this before. You just have a knack for seeking out drivel no matter the year mate.
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
average rating of 2.88 tells me all i need to know about who has a higher hit rate for drivel
and that shit comes without the luxury of being able to blame a specific year

Album Rating: 3.5
Considering a rating of 2.5 is identified by this very website as “average”, you’ve done well at pointing out that I am an overly generous rater (by a whopping 0.38 points). I shall rectify this by preemptively calling 2025 the worst year in music since 2011.

can you guys fuck already?
… tho I’m undecided which of you shall be wearing the 13” Frank Beltrame Italian stilettos with bison horn grips
