I love the vocals but I’m a huge fan of obnoxious vocals like Johnny Whitney of The Blood Brothers and Justin Pearson of The Locust

Honest to god if this was instrumental or even just had like, bog standard shouts I could def see myself giving this a 4+.

Extremely glad this *doesn't* have anything like standard shouts tbh, this band's fix is so refreshingly distinct from anything on the aggy end of heavy music (i.e. most of it) despite blitzing out such insane levels of energy. Feels extremely un-masc-coded too - their feature on the last HIRS Collective record did a great job of spotlighting that

I do understand the complaints about the vox but I absolutely love them. So fucking unhinged. They fit this record perfectly.

johnny says it weird but I'm on board - the left-fieldness of this is a good thing and we should let go of our regular stupidass shoutcore
