When the highs on this album hit they really hit hard. The drop on Russian Roulette near the end is pure life-affirming adrenalin and there's something to like in every song. Easily the best pop album of the year so far.
He needs to move into new territory for the next album though as this and Nurture have very similar themes.

yea this doesn't hit as hard as the last album, i can see how you can come to this conclusion but him taking this more direct pop approach makes i think for a fun-ish listen. I think I lean a little more positive than you but i generally agree, solid review.

Embrace the cringe! Album is so much fun and the sincerity makes the cringe okay. I could do without one of the really slow songs, but the up-tempo ones are genuinely exhilarating.
