What genre is it, RYM says ambient house?

The new one is like
Hmm
Idk
What do you think

Sounds like that compressed production indie rock you often like, maybe bedroom pop-ish idk

The first song is imo genuinely the worst but yea about right

The Jefferson airplane cover is bonkers

Yeah, I was worried it'd just be a boring cover and instead it's like it's own animal

The first song is such a great-mood setter wtf. Also Dimitri is damn good work-out music.

might have been a bit harsh on this at first, pretty fun album with a bit more silliness than I'm used to from these guys
IT'S THE LONGEST CAT IN THE WORLD

I want a noise rock album!

Oh god noise rock Hiatus Kaiyote would be a massive disappointment for me
Don't get me wrong, I love Cinnamon Temple, but i don't want them to get more distorted than that.
Lush pretty psychedelic soul stuff on the other hand...

I suppose what I /really/ want is more bursts of chaos rather than a noise rock album proper. Would be proper silly of them to ditch lushness entirely

It deff helps the chances that the bass player is a certified Zappa-fanatic (according to their What's In My Bag video)
I agree chaotic would be good though
I might like Dimitri the most because it's so irregular structurally. If their next album played with sounds fucked up without necessarily having to be distorted or heavy i'd dig it for sure. But Nai's voice would still need to soulful I guess, like why drop that, right? That's one of their biggest asset

@Milo: do you know the song "Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk (Pay Attention - B3M)" by Parliament or "Inca Roads" by Zappa? Songs like that

Not off the top of my head (I suck at track names) but when you name those artists I get an idea of what you mean. Will peep'em later.
I still feel like Everything's beautiful is going underhyperbolised

How To Meet Yourself is a little underrated, may I say. Just watched Melon's video about this album and he didn't even mention Telescope, wtf.
