Bottom of the class maybe
This sounds like it was made to order on a production line, Thom just wants a bigger retirement fund. zak laps it up anyway

I tell you something.
Anything affiliated with Radiohead is guaranteed to have an absolutely shite title.
Wall of Eyes? Bollocks.

>Also calling something dull/boring because you don't enjoy
this is putting the cart in front of the horse
|

people on this site think you shouldn’t call an album bad because you think it’s bad
|
| |
i like when ppl get angry for saying something like "shit album" when 80% of comments are something like "great album"

great comment!

i’ve seen people say that saying “this album sucks” is bad because you’re implying that it’s objectively bad. ppl get really weird about that

I’m enjoying this more than the debut , granted I think the debut didn’t find me at a good time so maybe I’m due a revisit of that. But I like how this one stretches the songs out a little more. Does take a couple tracks before it really gets going though. Nothing mindblowing on the whole, but several fun jams.

think I slightly prefer the debut
they've settled on a style this time so I get this being preferred and probably being more accomplished
It's just very one note and one paced - I've never cared less about what Thom is doing than on this album and I've really enjoyed his performances on a lot of his solo stuff recently hmmmm

I appreciate the "lower stakes" nature of this release tbh

I got that from the previous one too - I really didn't hype the debut but maybe I was supposed to? That one also seemed a very 'snuck out' low key release
It's all very Tim Machine anyway...better than Tin Machine at least, think most can agree

this is better than tin machine by a mile and a half
agreed that it's pretty low stakes tho
|
| |
it's low stakes because they don't have faith in their own material anymore

As part of my resolution to be POSITIVE and NEVER say anything negative about music ever again;
This sort of sometimes has interesting-esque Radiohead-esque noises in it! Yay!

This album feels more thought out than the debut, which to me just seemed like a collection of songs they wanted to do, which is why I like it more, but not by THAT much
