Have you guys seen their recent KEXP performance? To someone who couldn't catch them live on this tour, it is such a treat! The songs sound even better than on the album, the drums are more dynamic here, everything is sooo uplifting.

23 is their best AND more similar to this than Misery... I'm sensing some bias there Ars as I know Misery is your fave, lol
Penny Sparkle may actually be the closest to this overall (and it's v much underrated)
Either way all three of those albums are essential BR, so I guess this doesn't ultimately matter much CHECK THEM ALL RIGHT NOW

23 was my entry into them as a result of it being in a lot of album of the year lists I bought the CD.

Will be slappin a well-earned bump on this. I mean itâs only right when youâve âcontributedâ like 50% (not counting) of the comments and maybe 65% of the words itt right? (Not including the review itself, obvs)
This is quietly excellent in an unassuming but rather sustainable way. Itâs showing no signs of relinquishing its impact at this stage, despite fleeting thoughts this was perhaps overly airy and sedate at first. Vibes are ever-present as expected and the song-craft is only more convincing with time
updated as: 23 > Misery > Penny / this > everything else, where this is significantly closer to Misery than Misery is to 23
