this is a such a step up from Hyaline. chord changes on the first two tracks are perfect and Lacuna has such a strong progression. bit overlong + leans too hard on occasionally drab folk arrangements and not enough into glitch, but this is a solid record

My first several listens of this were on my vinyl copy but there were parts where I had to cross-check the digital version to confirm the glitchy bits were intentional and that my record wasn't skipping lol.
But yes this is indeed an unreserved improvement on Hyaline. That was a good album too but this is muuuuuuch more engaging and memorable for me.

yeah I tried listening to the previous album after being absolutely floored by this, and I turned it off like halfway in. Which isn't to say it was bad, but just nowhere near as interesting by comparison.
