Siren might be a top 10 pop album of all time am I going to like this more?

probs can't comment there as I find Siren a little bland compared to the releases either side and Aurora, but this one is the absolute business so who knows

Sim City has a roughness to it compared to this, there's also a sense of urgency running through the entire thing cos nearly every song has that locomotive type rolling beat, which feeds into the story of Hirasawa's visit to Thailand and I think if u ever experienced intense culture shock or that unsettling insecurity of the days when shifting between cultures it'll speak to you even through the language barrier
Speaking of, there's some double meaning behind Sim City being a soundtrack to some sci-fi story? I really should look into that more but it's so hard to find solid info on Japanese artists without auto translating a million youtube comments, doesn't help there's like 50 years of lore behind the man either

will attend myself to the bleepy bloops of all said albums and affirm or deny your mannerly words, so called demon of fall and pigeon of mold

yep Sim City has the most wide-eyed awe/shock/nervous tension of the trilogy, and it defs plays off favourably (along with Echoes being the most serene shit ever recorded). always thought he went too far smoothing over its creases on Siren, and then this was a perfect compromise
Byakkoya deserves mention over Siren if we're talking his essentials tbh
