I kind of like phoebe even if I don’t care for her music. I’m not sick of her and although that hype was mildly annoying at the time, it doesn’t bother me in retrospect.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think it's because of the overexposure to her compared to the other two. I think Stranger and Punisher are both really solid, but Phoebe is probably my least favorite member of Boygenius tbh

think it was less Punisher itself and more her PR team working overtime to get her in a headline every single day, doing 100 features a year most of which were completely unnecessary, and all the singles/covers she's released since Punisher just being lesser variations on the exact same sound. hard not to get a little sick of it

god, Not Strong Enough is still one of the best songs any of them will ever do.
really loving this as a whole though. Cool About It feels especially Bright Eyes. Satanist is fuckin swaggerific. and the last 3 are big emotions from each of them.
already loved $20 and the other 2 first tracks have grown on me a lot now.
