It’s just astonishing to see how many comments say they think LDR sound boring in COTCC/BB and Blvd. Lana has been de-emphasizing melody since Honeymoon. Nowadays she’s leaning towards expressing herself through lyrics. The contents have shifted from stories to different states of mind, so as to speak. Also just like what she quoted in one of the interludes, her music is not mostly about the audience, but mostly about Lana herself. Of course, everyone is entitled to express their feelings freely. I just thought a sincere listener would grasp her message throughout the years.

I think she has one of the best stream of consciousness flows along with Mark Kozelek
