Yo Sunny go listen to Nux Vomica. This album is excellent but Nux is next level. Altho a good bit of my love for it prob stems from nostalgia

Epoch could easily have ended up as a slight dislike for me, but the tongue in cheek lyrics really elevate it. Banger
And yeah, this year has had HITS but been a v mixed bag overall. This, Kinoteki, Tujiko Noriko, Gezan and ig Ryuichi Sakamoto and MSPAINT have been my standout-landmark-event albums (Otay:onii, Ayano Kaneko, Cicada and Spangle Call Lilli Line also v good and better than some of those, but more in the comf jam than Landmark ballpark). Any actual notable highlights I'm missing?

Structurally, Epoch is very generic but it’s just catchy enough and yeah the lyrics elevate it. I actually didn’t think Someday My Love Will Come nor The Pearl were S tier songs after my first spin. Gotta relisten me reevaluate

Coming back to this and have decided that Diamonds And Coal should be the first song to get the chop (Gyro omitting this speaks volumes). Diamonds thru Made From Love is probably the slowest patch here
Someday My Love Will Come is def top tier for this album though

I think No Limit of Stars and My Love Will Come are two of the weakest cuts here overall (but yeah Diamonds And Coal wasn’t even worth ranking for me). Particularly the latter which just strikes me as being very bland.



After almost 4 plays I think this has diminishing returns and might lower my rating to 3.5. Playing it right after Nux and Total Depravity really highlights its weaknesses
