Never clocked before amidst the Grindermanisms how much of this feels like it’s starting to anticipate the style turn coming up on Push the Sky Away

Lmao it’s prob worth the effort



Tbh have spent a good decade as a big time Cave fan, and it’s only now starting to sink in that I don’t think I’d consider this one of his weaker efforts anymore

haven't jammed this in ages *but* it is somehow among the most garage-ready Cave and the most writer's-writerly Cave at the same time, fills a v odd niche in his discog

By no means is it weak, never understood its lukeworm reception here on sput. I never was a fan of the t/t though, but the run from Today’s Lesson to We Call Upon the Author is among their best efforts.
