It's just practice, and keeping your elbow straight, moving only your wrist.

I really wish people could stop reading album reviews of albums they have heard and hated, but somehow they just have post a comment like "slayer sucks"This Message Edited On 10.24.06This Message Edited On 10.24.06This Message Edited On 10.24.06This Message Edited On 10.24.06

I still find this to be a little overrated. The riffs are awesome but some of this sounds like it was rushed to be made in too much of a hurry, I find it lacks a lot of flexibility and variety between songs.

Actually, hardspot, the riff is supposed to be played with an A after the 6th fret note, like:

5-3-2-0-6-5-3-0.........

I personally don't rate 'Reign in Blood' very highly....maybe its because my expectations were too high when i first heard it. Anyways i think the songs lack variety, the guitaring is ordinary at best (compared to megadeth or even metallica) and the lyrics rubbish.

so its ok, but its no f***in 'milestone' album...those would be RIP, peace sells, MOP, RTL etc..

This had a bigger influence of Metal as a whole more than those did. Countless Death Metal bands along with many thrash and Black metal bands cite this record as an influence while i cant exactly say any Megadeth record ever influenced anything outside the genre of thrash.

There were much better metal albums in '86 IMO.

Hottie, MoP has had far more influence, impact, etc. than RiB has and ever will.

Um Master of Puppets maybe...but this album has influenced damn near every extreme metal band in the past 20 years.

MOP has so much more influence today than this. Not to be biased, which I'm not in this case, but many current underground bands try to mimick the sound off of this album (and they may do a very damn good job of it) but MOP, specifically, has been cited numerous times as an influence for countless bands because that album reaches beyond and out of the thrash boundaries that this is confined in.

Both RIB and MOP are amazing and influencial. Thrash Til Death!

yeh, Megadeth cant touch either 'tallica or Slayer, but i still see RIB as a stronger influence outside thrash than MOP, but they both are extremly influential and nothing will change that. Haha, that dude just called me hottie lmao, i usually dont get that from other guys hahaha

yea, as good as megadeth is, i dont think they are as strong and influencial as metallica and slayer, or anthrax. but i still like megadeth.

Check out what nearly every damn good new thrash band sounds like today...it's Slayer that they've been influenced by.

But then again, they only good ones that come to mind that are new are Flesh Made Sin and Hypnosia...oh well. Reign in Blood owns anyway.

Still not as awesome as South of Heaven. This Message Edited On 02.02.07

I think Slayer is the only band that has maintained their ''own'' sound whole the time. If you compare Slayer to the rest of the ''Big Four'' then I would say that Slayer is the only one that is still unique (soundwise), Megadeth would come second while Anthrax and Metallica are... well almost horrible nowadays. (IMO)

That is true. Although Metallica and Anthrax changed their sond alot, I still love both. I wouldnt say they are horrible, just different sounding. But both their older stuff could blow their new stuff away, I must say.

but anyways,

SLAYER KICKS A**!!
