But you should know you've got your tracklist wrong. It should be like this:

1. Flesh Storm

2. Catalyst

3. Eyes of the Insane

4. Jihad

5. Skeleton Christ

6. Consfearacy

7. Catatonic

8. Black Serenade

9. Cult

10. Supremist

I have the album. 'Skeleton Christ' is #3. I went by the back of the CD case. The tracklist was all mixed up and there were different variations of it on the interent...

Glad you like it though Shadows...it's awesome...and I believe this was the first time ever you commented on one of my reviews...and BTW...what'd you think of it? You're a legend and all so...yeaThis Message Edited On 08.09.06

Good review except for your comments about Slayers last couple of albums. They never went through a dark time, they just experimented with a bit of groove for a while and it worked. But I do agree with you that this album is back on par with their older stuff.

'Divine Intervention' was pretty darn good, I might want to rework a few words around here to get that across. It just really felt like 'Seasons in the Abyss Pt. 2' to me...'God Hates Us All' was solid, but some of the songs felt flat and dead, like 'Exile' and 'Cast Down'. But 'Diabolus' wasn't very good at all. Compared to other albums, I'd say 'Diabolus' was solid. But in the world of 'Slayer', its the worst they've ever done.

Yeah, they conformed to all the current trends to appeal to the emo kids.

I know. I mean, with the pop friendly guitars and Tom making himself look pale and stuff and singing about his long lost love even though he is married and about hating himself was totally a put off to everyone. I mean, Jeff even showed up on stage wearing some girls jeans and an XS sized shirt...

123. Not Kerry though. He's bald. Ewww

I'm gonna download Jihad.

I bet you're still gonna hate it...and Slayer too. But to save you time, I will again recomend just going to their myspace for that song...

Great fuckin' review, man. This is the first time I've heard GOOD things about the album, haha. I'm still not sure about it, I heard "Jihad" and it pretty much sounded like Slayer with some (I repeat SOME, not a whole friggin' lot) metalcore influence. Basically the Slayer of the past few years, conforming to the current trends.

I'm surprised...no, DISAPPOINTED you didn't rank Hell Awaits as a Slayer classic though.

I'll give my full opinion on this CD when I hear the whole damn thing

Just for the record, Jeff Hanneman is also fat.

I think this album is very good, but the lyrics are crap.

I don't like the album. Instrumentally, it's okay. But the lyrics are awful, as is Tom's singing/yelling/whatever. Pure, unadulterated crap.

That's odd, I copied that list straight from Slayer's official site. But since the CD case is the final say, I'll stick with yours.

I'm sure this isn't the first time I've ever commented in one of your reviews - maybe just the first you've seen me. You seem to be into metal more than anything, so I'm sure I posted in there somewhere.

I wouldn't say I'm a legend, just ancient. I've been reviewing here since before sputnik was even sputnik. :p The review was really good. Definitely one of the best ones I've seen recently, let alone one of the best metal reviews we've had lately. This Message Edited On 08.09.06

I just listened to Jihad.

I liked it.
wow, did not see that one coming...

I'm surprised...no, DISAPPOINTED you didn't rank Hell Awaits as a Slayer classic though.

Hell Awaits is a good album, but there's only 7 songs...makes me mad...the title track and 'At Dawn they Sleep' own so hard though...

It's cool Bron. I at least hoped you would've liked this more than GHUA, but oh well.

And thanks Shadows!

Hey Diabolus, it's funny you say you're not a big Slayer fan, when you have one of their album titles as your username

No worries about the rating. I can really understand why you'd give this a 5. I've listened to it at least 5 full times today alone, so I'm upping mine to a 4.5.

Good, I just didn't want to come across as a moron or whatever...

This album is kind of annoying now that I've heard it.

...I could've told you right from the beginning you would hate this...
