This is really a classic, indeed. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to see them live. What a pity I have.

Freewill is too good.
This might be my fave Rush album.

I just wish this had one more song! I don't feel it as much with Hemispheres for some reason, but this one always feels like it ends too soon to me

Same. My brother saw them in 2007 for the Snakes & Arrows tour, but for whatever reason (maybe due to my age at the time), I wasn't allowed to join him for that show. Really sucks that I couldn't see them before they hung it up (and before Neil's passing, of course)

Album slaps hard. Known The Spirit of Radio all my life and love it but I think Freewill and Natural Science may be the real highlights here.

Damn, I'm watching Doug Helvering's reaction to this album right as it gets bumped on here. Crazy coincidence lol

Different Strings is my fave here, as well as my all-time favorite Rush song. Funny how one of the few tracks with lyrics not written by Neil happens to be my favorite of theirs
But yeah, Natural Science is incredible too

Different Strings was interesting and is definitely unique amongst the Rush songs I've heard. I think I need to listen to it again to fully figure out what I think of it.

Yep. Prog metal before prog metal was an established genre. Then again, you can apply that to quite a few Rush songs (The Necromancer, 2112, Cygnus X-1 Books 1 & 2, Natural Science, etc.)

Shades of metal at best. If anything, the climax of Book 1 is the heaviest section they ever wrote.

Freewill's solo is still one of the craziest things out there. Literally all three members soloing at the same time, and not once does it ever sound sloppy or overbearing... remarkable
