“Idk David, I really felt like WANYK had their best music since Vol 3. I think the inconsistency with this record is due to it being a contractual obligation so they could leave Roadrunner.”
I really love WANYK but that album felt more cinematic, the heaviness wasn’t the sole focus. When this goes for heavy, where they’re trying to “make their heaviest songs since Iowa”, it sounds so tired. Band are at its best here when they’re invoking Faith No More

Lol how on earth is this better than Gray Chapter? That album was lined with bangers. Sarcastrophe, AOV, Skeptic, Lech, Nomadic, Negative One….thing was fucking stacked. Nothing on this whole album holds a candles to those tracks

grey chapter love?

It’s a shame this is clearly a throwaway record to fulfill contractual obligations because it has moments that are the most sonically similar to Vol.3 since that album. Anything that doesn’t sound like it’s from Vol.3 sucks though.

Feelin a 3.4 on this new one. Nothing is super bad, but not much stands out either

Has no business being 60 minutes long.

Okay, jammed this twice so far - We Are Not Your Kind is absolutely superior to this, not even a fucking question
Tbh only a few songs REALLY stick with me. Warranty, H377 and some of the singles are straight bangers.
I'm gonna listen a lot more because it's Slipknot, and I'm not sure where I'd rank it yet, but I'm definitely a little disappointed on my first couple of spins, at least in comparison to their last release.

This will probably grow on me with more listens but it's not gonna be better than WANYK.
