Checked this mainly because of nostalgia but yeah it sucks

There's some fun moments in this album but the metalcore edge fades out quickly to pop focused hooks soaked in electronic beats.

@Ryman August burns Red isn't Christian Metalcore anymore. Maybe back in the day, but even the band has admitted they don't really do that anymore, not to mention a huge chunk of the band aren't even Christian.

Edit: it's fair criticism but I think the strength of this record is that it's just formulaic bangers, and since it's quite a short record I don't think it's an issue at all. Instrumentation and vocals are just the best they have ever been...

yes the lyrics are terrible but they always were so I don't mind. At least they are easy to sing along to and the melodies are catchy as fuck
