This is way too long for me to care about listening to it

“Tired of Taking it Out on You” may be my favorite here, and lowkey one of my all time Wilco tracks. Huh.

Didn’t care for their last one too much but really loving this!

Yeah this is honestly the first Wilco that’s resonated with me from start to finish since Yankee, tbh. Everything else is good but kinda scattershot imo

Really good but too long.

That guitar solo in Many Worlds is so good, conveys a lot of emotion

Yeah that one’s great (though admittedly it scratches a kind of similar itch to older Wilco epics such as “Impossible Germany” and doesn’t reach the same heights).

Officially their 4th best album
As always I’m a sucker for double albums
Unless they’re by Beach House

Yess, so glad you did a review for this. I was contemplating do one myself - looking forward to reading. Really great album. I love Wilco but was genuinely impressed with how much I'm enjoying this. A big, warm blanket with some thorns in it.

Cheers, hope you enjoy the review! Yeah, not sure where I'd rank this in Wilco's discography yet but it's hitting the spot quite well.

“best Wilco release since Yankee Hotel Foxtrot”
A Ghost is Born easily has that title
but this album is surprisingly good for latter day Wilco

This is way more consistent than ‘Ghost’

I prefer A Ghost is Born, personally. Actually, there are a number of post-Yankee albums I like more than this one.

I’ll always defend mid-period Wilco. I do like this more than Star Wars and Ode to Joy though.

This is like two albums at least equally good to any mid period Wilco for me
Side B of ‘Ghost’ is a little less good and ‘Hummingbird’ I’m not in love with either
‘Ode to Joy’ was great, I dunno a lot of mid period feels like half a good album of material (Wilco the Album, Sky Blue Sky, etc)

Ghost side B definitely lags (aside from “Theologians”) but side A is one of their strongest stretches. Sky Blue Sky and self titled are both uniformly excellent for me but I get many disagree with that. The Whole Love is near classic, though elevated a lot by its bookends.

Haven’t really loved anything since The Whole Love. This is okay.

Their music is always enjoyable for me. Can never go wrong with a bit of Wilco.

This was pleasant and I enjoyed it but nothing necessarily really grabbed me and I dont feel that I will revisit much outside of the next couple weeks. Lets see if that changes though.
Really appreciate the final paragraph of this review highlighting some of the high points, made it easy to revisit the best moments.
