Mmhm sure, but I don't think it's a case of pointing/not pointing it out, or even talking/not talking about the music - I think the thing that itches me is more that having (appropriately probably) taken a strong shot at this band's detractors, a lot of your register and phrasing throughout both your contextual and musical analysis essentially backhands them for being a bunch of teenagers, which I wouldn't rly care about if it weren't supposed to amount to a defensive stance. Nothing wrong with writing for the sake of industry plant discourse, but if you're gonna treat the presumably redeemable but unremarkable fruit of their creation as a background concern/of less general interest than the debate itself, then you're better off owning that line yknow
