Man, there's just something about the energy on this album. I wouldn't say that it does anything new with Monuments sound, but there's a hunger on this one that was noticeably lacking on parts of Phronesis. So even though some songs might be a little more run of the mill it still kicks like a damn mule.

The Amanuenis was an album I really enjoyed and associated with these guys, especially that vocalist. The last album was not for me at all and I wrote these guys off… is this really that good? Cardinal Red was pretty fun but the other singles were just meh to me

andy maaaaaaybe has more range regarding screaming but thats it, and even then i still like the sound of chris's voice more but yea amanuensis beats this albums ass
