and I totally pre-judged him for that too haha. Puts on a fantastic show though. Very animated.

still the most cookie-cutter basic ass modern metalcore album I ever heard, well that overrated Novelists album comes close too

Possibly; the album did grow off me significantly, but I like being able to hear Browne's riffing.

Maybe the next one will be better now that they have some experience with the new lineup.

Opiate is the best song on here, slams.

cardinal red all the way for me. the riff browne does after the final chorus is my favorite thing this band has done since amanuensis and like nothing else here can match it

Rechecked this recently, and I still can't believe how fucking good it is. No One Will Teach You might be one of my favorite core/djent openings ever

I just love Andy's vocals so much, the guy is so insanely good. I want a record by them with less 'modern' production though.

SUPER beefy, makes it sound obscenely grand

Andy's vocals on top of those djent riffs, especially in Cardinal Red and Opiate... ugh, so good

Oh yeah production isn't bad at all, it's quite nice for the style, but I just don't like the style that much haha. Sounds too clean for me

The vocals on Gnosis are a bit too off putting for me personally. Amanuensis is great — I dunno. I think suppressing the nostalgia, this is the better album. So many tracks crush.
